I’m Blanche, a Scottish VO!
If you’ve come across my voice-over website, I’m guessing you’re in need of a Voiceover Artist from Scotland? Or, a Voice Artist with a Scottish accent?
Well handily, that’s all me!
My name is Blanche Anderson and I'm a full-time Scottish VO, Voiceover Artist, Voice Actor, FVO, Voice Artist, Narrator, Talker, Announcer, Speaker... whatever you wanna call it… I talk for a living!
Over the last twelve years I've voiced just about everything you can think of - TV, radio, cinema commercials, corporate narration, IVR, radio drama, audio description, ADR, audio tours, animation, video games, Voice of God, children's audiobooks, lifts, tills... the lot!!
And not only do I record voiceovers in my native Scottish accent, but after over 11 years living in London, I also record in a southern English accent - also known as British accent, RP or Queen’s English.
Some clients have been pretty darn big including the likes of Amazon, Google, M&S, Samsung, American Express, Netflix, Chromebook, HSBC, Toyota, Nike and YouTube. Some have been local companies... either way, every client is just as important!
I pride myself on my fast voiceover turnaround, my friendly nature and my ability to provide a quality, pain-free service.
I am a member of the performing arts trade union, Equity and the actors casting platform, Spotlight.
Whatever your project, I would love to hear from you, so drop me an email and say hello!

“I must say I was very impressed. I felt she totally nailed the script and read it exactly as I had imagined it.”
— Commercial Radio Client
So, where have you heard me?
Perhaps on the BBC?
Over the years, I have voiced trails across all BBC UK radio stations, most recently for BBC Radio 2 (Vernon Kay Show & Children In Need). I previously voiced BBC Sounds promos and was also the station voice of BBC Radio Scotland for nearly six years.
You’ll hear my voice on fun explainers from BBC Ideas and BBC Bitesize educational videos. And, if you’re a Radio Drama fan then you may have heard my voice acting on BBC Radio 4.
If that isn't enough, I also record audio description for some BBC iPlayer content, along with TV promos for BBC Scotland and BBC Alba.In Lidl?
Yep, that’s my voice guiding you to ‘Cashier number 1’ in some Lidl’s across the UK.
Watching Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC or Channel 4?
You’ll have to listen carefully for this one but I promise you, I’m there. I voice a lot of ADR (background voicing) for TV and Films. Including several series of the Scottish favourite, Outlander.
On the phone to a call centre?
Sorry, sorry, I know, but I do a lot of IVR and on-hold messages so yes, you’ve most likely heard me telling you to “please hold the line”.
On the radio?
Recording commercial radio voiceovers is part of my daily voice work - you might say it’s a speciality! If you live in Scotland, you’ll have heard me on radio campaigns aired on Capital, Heart, Forth 1, Clyde or any other local Scottish radio station. I also record a lot of voiceovers for UK wide stations too.
